by accident once
Ordnance Street runs behind the daily market, a minute from Republic Street and across from Parliament. Far enough that the crowd thins out. Close enough that you were probably already walking past.
The pub has been on this square since 1979 and is still run by the same family. Homemade cooking, fish bought off the market behind us, and draught local beer — served on a small square under a cypress tree that has been there longer than we have.

Fish off the market behind us, ribs off the bone, calamari people come back for. Every price is on the menu, where it should be.

Breakfast at ten while the market is loading in. Lunch when Parliament empties out. A beer in the shade at five, dinner under the lanterns at nine. It is one small square, and it changes completely four times a day.

Brilliant space, just off main street so not too busy. Been multiple times and never a problem. Very relaxed place, good staff.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and good value for money! I highly recommend the calamari salad. It was a little quiet being off the main street in the city centre but we enjoyed that.

Absolutely the best burger I've ever had. Staff were so friendly, service spot on, and Queen playing in the background. Lovely quiet setting as well.

This restaurant is really nice, calm, and relaxing. The staff is super polite and friendly. I had a seafood pasta and it was wonderful. My friends had fish and chips and loved it too.

I always eat here when in Valletta. The food is very good and so is the price. Off the main street so reasonably quiet, which I like. Highly recommended.

We tried the pub on spec. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and delicious. I had the pea and ham soup and we both had the lasagna. Well satisfied and relatively cheap.

We really enjoyed a fantastic meal here. Nine of us were accommodated without a booking, food was absolutely delicious and service excellent. Would highly recommend.
